new features
Each member of the Bluebird community now has a profile on Tweet and a unique identity. It's important that the user-profiles are complete as this will eliminate the need for duplication of data and filling in forms. The primary aim of Tweet is communication, and once logged in you'll be able to
- ...access and interact with you child's teacher and fellow parents
- ...share interesting news, weblinks, recipe's, ideas
- ...send messages to the manco, or pta (or pretty much anyone else), you can put forward items for discussion at meetings, or start open debates
- ...add friends or relatives to your child's profile
- ...message the webmistress
- ...a new "market place" for classified ads & personals
and lots more else.
Security is always an important factor and Tweet has many layers of built-in security, guarding the privacy and safety of the data and ensuring that only appropriate users have access to the relavent info. The user passwords are at the core of this security, and must obviously be handled with care.
in the development pipeline
- ...online access to your child's report
- ...kids-pages for your child's art
- ...access to meeting minutes and feedback from the manco, pta, etc
- ...bookings for aftercare, holiday care, class photo's etc
- ...and most importantly, developing YOUR ideas and suggestions!
And on a slightly "geeky" note, there is some of the site's functionality that is compromised if a user has Javascripting disabled within their browser options. We're working at non-java alternatives that will see this right.
